Roskilde · online · in English
You got the title. Now talk through what came with it.
If you have just stepped into a leadership role around Roskilde and would rather think it through in English, this page explains how the sessions work.
This site describes online conversations with the psychologist Frank. The sessions are offered by djursland-psykologen.dk.
Language and format
The sessions can be held in English, both online and in Mørke on Djursland. For leaders in the Roskilde area, online is the practical route: you join from your office, your home or a quiet room while travelling, and there is no journey to a clinic.
Each client has a fixed weekly evening slot and the same psychologist throughout. Capacity is limited, so there is normally a waiting list, and no start date can be promised. Signing up carries no obligation.
The first months in a new role
The early months of a new position tend to follow a pattern. In month one everyone is watching, and every decision is read as a signal. In month two the expectations of your team, your board and your own boss begin to collide. By month three the first pace cannot be sustained, and questions about your own style and place in the role come to the surface.
The sessions can give room to think those questions through without having to perform. Typical topics are the pressure of expectations, finding your own way of leading, doubt in the early phase, and the odd loneliness of being the person colleagues can no longer confide in.
Who it is for
Typical clients are new managers, directors and partners, founders, busy professionals and people with an international background who find it easier to talk about personal matters in English. You do not need a clear problem to start. A sense that the role has changed more than you expected is enough.

Questions and answers
Do I need to know what to talk about?
No. Many people begin with a general sense that the new role is taking up more room than expected. You will be asked to say a little about what you are looking for when you join the waiting list, and the rest takes shape in the sessions.
Does my GP find out?
No. Your GP is not informed, and neither are the municipality, your partner or spouse, or your employer. The sessions are private, need no referral, and are covered by the psychologist's duty of confidentiality under Danish law.
Can my company pay?
Yes. Many people have the invoice paid by their company or employer, and you are of course welcome to pay yourself. Details are on the practical information page of the main site, which is in Danish.
Do I have to name my employer?
No. You do not need to give your employer's name when you sign up.
Do you need help now? There is a waiting list for these sessions. If your need is urgent, contact your GP, the out-of-hours medical service (lægevagten) or call 112.
